The new Vienna Ice Sports Centre was built in the course of an enlargement of the Albert Schultz Hall to create a modern ice hockey stadium for up to 10,000 spectators. The big support structures of the roof weightlessly span the three rinks and disclose a series of cross-vistas and views into the halls.

The roof design with partly projecting elements is very impressive. The complex allows for cross-vistas and views of the three ice rinks and of the skaters.
