open house wien Three building associations, one of which is the constructor, got together to build one of the most modern student residences world-wide in the Sea City Aspern. The GreenHouse is an energy-efficient building that adheres to the newest technological standards. A large photovoltaic installation produces power beyond the current demand; thanks to a battery storage device, the power supply is always ensured. The three buildings represent solar energy, wind energy, and geothermal energy; the façades are painted accordingly in yellow-green-white, blue-white, and in earth tones. The houses harbour 310 residential units in total and are connected by a communicative courtyard.
