open house wien Seven buildings, connected by five yellow bridges. The apartment complex in the “Sonnwendviertel” offers lots of room for its tenants to foster a sense of community. More than 3’000 square metres are dedicated to communal areas: a theatre room, cinema, library, indoor playground with a climbing park, and a wellness area including a pool and sauna spanning 1’000 square metres. The “runner”, a walkway network on two floors, connects the apartments with all other facilities. The bridges are located on the third and fourth floors. They are symbolic for the feeling of community that comes to life in areas such as the shared kitchen, the skate park, the music room or the workshops. In addition, there is lots of “undefined” community space that tenants can use for exhibits or flea markets.
