gebaut The project closes two contiguous L-shaped gaps between Mortaraplatz and Ospelgasse as well as Pasettistrasse and reacts to the prominent position both with its built volume and the composition of its façade. The encounter of square front (Mortaraplatz) and street front (Ospelgasse) provides a starting point for the architectural concept. The main access to the building is likewise located here. Towards Mortaraplatz, the volume presents a taut metal façade, while the Ospelgasse front features coloured fibre cement boards. Both façades interlock like the fingers of two hands at the corner of Mortaraplatz and Ospelgasse. The Pasettistrase façade as well as the one facing the interior courtyard are done in silicate plaster.
