gebaut This non-profit housing project tries to combine the qualities of closed perimeter development with those of a small-scale single-family home and tranquil “suburban life”. Clearcut structuring of the individual built volumes, which are differentiated by their respective inward or outward positions, fosters both the almost intimate atmosphere of the small interior courtyard and the striking and self-confident appeal of the street front. While the light-coloured plaster façade facing the patio is quiet, almost like that of an interior space, the design of the street façade is three-dimensional and extends near seamlessly from the ground level across the roof.
