gebaut The research facility is the endpoint of an urban development project in the eastern section of the area occupied by the General Hospital. On the eastern façade, which features an artwork by Peter Kogler – 400 square metres of façade surface with cellular structures –, this results in logically derived plastic forms that are reinforced by a superstructure atop a pre-existing air induction system. The seminar and communication areas with terraces are situated behind oblique façades; ample room and window heights, glass partitions and skylights ensure transparency and airiness.
