gebaut A rehearsal stage was built at the existing scene deck of the Vienna State Opera to streamline organisation. The façade design with an expanded metal surface engenders an interesting interplay of light and shadow. The entire volume rests atop only four struts, resulting in a supporting width of 25 metres, and hence produces a generously sized ground-floor zone that is also used as a manœuvering space for the scene dock.
