To create contemporary dwellings situated in the upper and attic storeys of this courtyard building with open access galleries (“Pawlatschen”) under monument protection, a linear volume with ribbon windows was inserted into the steep roof. A new steel staircase leading up to the gallery provides access to both housing levels.
