yova The building group project in Vienna’s 2nd district comprises 40 dwelling units, 350 m² of commercial space and 700m² of communal spaces. At the centre of the project: a self-administered community and the idea of developing sustainability in the city further and actively living it. Alongside building measures such as controlled ventilation of the living rooms, photovoltaics, car-sharing, community buying and vegetable gardens demonstrate a very broad understanding of sustainability. Through an events space and the “Salon am Park” the project also has an impact on the surrounding area.
gebaut This new project with 40 housing units, commercial premises and numerous communal spaces was conceived as a grassroots-democracy housing venture featuring a low-energy approach plus a photovoltaic installation. The structural engineering for the building with load-bearing core and façade allows for flexible flat planning. The most attractive asset of the project – the roof with sauna, library, guestrooms and roof garden – belongs to all.
