In this building, new technologies fuse architecture and research: the freestanding structure with its supple façade conveys the scientific competence on the inside to the world outside. An intelligent, energy-efficient membrane envelops the central office for research funding in Austria.

Through its formal language, surface and position as well as because of its function as the central contact point and headquarters of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency, this standalone edifice within the urban fabric enters into a dialogue with its environment.
